Simon has worked in academic and telecoms research, been the CTO of a startup, and run the technical side of UK Online (a national ISP) before moving into consultancy and technology strategy. In between building large-scale web apps and designing multi-terabyte online image stores, he's been a freelance journalist since the early days of the Web and writes about everything from enterprise architecture to gadgets.
Mary Branscombe has been covering technology for over two decades and has written about everything from programming languages and early versions of Windows and Office to consumer gadgets. She's been using mobile email since 1993 and taking handwritten notes on a tablet PC since 2003, and vastly prefers the earlier versions of VBA to JavaScript (Prolog is also a particular favorite).
Ryan Faas has written or edited ten technology books. He is also the business reporter for Cult of Mac, and a prolific freelance writer whose work has been featured in Computerworld and many other publications. Ryan has also spent much of the past fifteen years as an IT director, systems administrator, trainer, and multi-platform and mobile device technology consultant.
Nancy is a freelance journalist who started writing about mobile phones just in time to cover the transition to digital. She's written about PCs from Hanover, cellular networks from Singapore, cloud computing from Seattle, and just about any technology subject you can think of from Las Vegas. Her work has appeared in Computerworld, The New York Times, Wired, and other well-respected publications.
Ron Miller is a freelance technology journalist, blogger, FierceContent Management editor, and contributing editor at EContent Magazine where he writes the Media Redux column. Matt Weinberger comes to CITEworld from SiliconANGLE, where he specialized in reporting on trends in cloud computing, sofware as a service, IT services and the DevOps movement.
