This morning, Apple released its latest environmental report, in which it claims that 100% of the energy used in its data centers is now provided by renewable resources.
A big reason for that is Apple's huge solar panel farm next to its datacenter in Maiden, North Carolina. Apple built the data center a couple years ago as it increased its emphasis on services like iCloud, and added the solar array last year. It also purchased more than 200 acres nearby, which it could use to expand the solar farm.
It's the biggest end-user owned solar array in the world. Apple sent us a link to a video showing how huge the place is -- check it out.
